Toys

Diecast

I've been collecting all sorts of toys over the years. For a while in the early to mid 90's, I was buying tons of character and tv related items as well as classic 60's toys. Some of my favorite toys from my childhood were from the legendary Topper Toys of nearby Elizabeth, NJ. I had plenty of the Johnny Lighning and Johnny Service toys. Actually if it was one of thier "Johnny" toys - I either had it or wanted it. My sister had a pretty good number of the Suzy Homemaker toys as well. If it had sharp edges, small parts, required tons of batteries or could burn, scald or maim - it was a Topper Toy. They were truly wonderful!

Some of the other toys in the collection:

A Pocher Mercedes Benz 500 K-AK in 1/8 scale. I started building it back in the early 80's. It was rebuilt in the mid-90's and is now going to be refurbished yet again to effect some repairs and correct some build flaws.

A clockwork Marklin St Vincent battleship. It belonged to my grandfather when he was a child. It's amazing it lasted through my childhood.
