The
Big Picture
Originally
the screen was just mounted to the wall. Later I added
the valence with recessed lighting and plenty of room
on top to display stuff. It's actually big enough to
walk on. The nice thing is that when not in use, it
completely disappears from sight.
When
the lights dim and the screen goes down, the effect
is magical. I'll never call it a home theater since
my feet don't stick to the floor, but it's a wonderful
place to watch movies.

Music
videos look and sound terrific with a total of 9 speakers
As
a backup to the big screen, there is a "small"
52" flat panel in the other living room which is
a lot easier to turn on.
Of
course - something needs to be watched on a big screen.
That's where my next great passion comes in - the Laserdisc.
